spiritual reading recommendations

I’m not a huge book person. It’s a bit weird to say that, since I’m a writer. There are a few genres and niches in literature that I enjoy, but I can’t say reading is something that I love to do.

I do, however, love me a great spiritual book. I’ll devour those like candy. They’ve been invaluable to me as I’ve sought to deepen my relationship with God and my personal prayer life. And you should see my Amazon Wish List…it’s like 80% Catholic books. SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO READ.

So here’s a list of the books that I have read that have been treasures to me, categorized by genre.

Praying the Rosary like Never Before by Edward Sri
Conversation with Christ: The Teaching of St. Teresa of Avila about Personal Prayer
by Peter Thomas Rohrbach
Time for God by Jacques Philippe
Thirsting for Prayer by Jacques Philippe
Temptation and Discernment by Segundo Galilea
Discerning the Will of God by Timothy M. Gallagher, O.M.V.
